I am a CIMA Qualified Accountant (2001) with an excellent knowledge of the workings of Finance teams, finance systems and the increasingly important role that any Finance Department must play as a value-adding partner in any organisation.
I enjoy the challenges of building capability through new systems or processes; introducing change and managing commercially focused projects. Since 2003 I have worked with organisations in the private and public sector; in industries spanning telecoms, technology and rail to deliver new finance systems and improved financial outcomes from changes in operational performance. I have led on the financial elements of a variety of commercially focused projects.
I believe that project success hinges on a clear understanding of the outcomes targeted; the unwavering support of senior people from within the organisation; and that small decisions taken frequently build momentum.
